ISLAMABAD, August 14: The Pakistan Armed Forces have conveyed warm felicitations to the nation on the occasion of the country’s 79th Independence Day, reaffirming their commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and promoting peace and stability.
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, on behalf of the Armed Forces, extended their heartfelt greetings to the people of Pakistan.
In their message, the military leadership paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding fathers and all those who made sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. They said the vision and determination of the nation’s founders continue to serve as a source of guidance and inspiration.
The Armed Forces also honoured the sacrifices of martyrs, the services of veterans, the contributions of law enforcement personnel and the efforts of citizens who have served the country with dedication.
Reiterating their resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s territorial integrity and national interests, the Armed Forces said they would continue to fulfil their constitutional responsibilities and protect the country against all threats.
They stressed that national unity and collective determination remain Pakistan’s greatest strength, urging citizens to uphold the principles of Faith, Unity and Discipline, foster tolerance and strengthen national cohesion.
The military leadership expressed confidence that, through unity and shared commitment, the nation would move towards a secure, stable and prosperous future.
