KARACHI: Gold prices have surged significantly amid a record rise in the global bullion market, where the price of gold increased by $79 to a new high of $4,347 per ounce.
According to a spokesperson from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the local gold market has seen a sharp rise, with the price per tola increasing by Rs7,900, now valued at Rs457,236.
Additionally, the cost of 10 grams of gold has gone up by Rs6,773, reaching Rs392,006. Silver prices also saw an increase, with the per tola rate climbing by Rs140 to Rs6,942.
