Anmol Pinky case: Police file interim chargesheet in Karachi drug case

KARACHI: Police have filed an interim chargesheet against Anmol Pinky in a drug-related case, nearly six months after her arrest in Karachi.

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) presented the interim charge sheet before the Karachi City Court after completing its investigation. The court accepted the document and referred the case to the District and Sessions Court for further proceedings.

Police have listed Anmol, also known as Pinky, as an arrested accused in the chargesheet. Investigators alleged that she was involved in running a drug distribution network in Karachi and supplying narcotics to young people.

The document contains details of the allegations and evidence collected by investigators during the course of the inquiry.

According to the chargesheet, Anmol was arrested on May 11, 2026, from an apartment in Karachi’s Garden area during a joint operation conducted by police and a federal intelligence agency.

Police claimed that approximately 1.5 kilograms of cocaine was recovered during the raid, along with packaging material, other narcotics and a 9mm pistol containing 10 bullets.

Authorities put the estimated value of the recovered cocaine at around Rs30 million.

Following her arrest, Anmol Pinky was widely portrayed in media reports as one of Karachi’s major drug dealers.

However, Karachi Additional Inspector General Azad Khan subsequently disputed the scale of those claims, saying the media coverage had created considerable hype and that Pinky was not a major drug supplier as portrayed.
