RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has successfully test-fired an extended version of its indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the missile features advanced avionics and navigation systems, enabling it to strike targets at greater distances with high precision. The trial also assessed technical performance of several subsystems designed to improve accuracy and survivability.
Senior army officers, as well as scientists and engineers involved in the programme, observed the launch, according to the statement.
The president, prime minister, army chief and chief of defence forces, along with the services chiefs, congratulated the teams behind the test and praised their technical expertise and commitment, ISPR said.
