ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have praised security forces for their operations against terrorists in Kalat and Gwadar.
In separate statements, both leaders paid tribute to Major Wajahat Waheed, who was martyred in an improvised explosive device blast in Pasni. They offered condolences to his family and prayed for his elevated status.
President Zardari said efforts by terrorists, their foreign sponsors and local facilitators to destabilise the country would be foiled. Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue operations against foreign-backed terrorism until it is eliminated.
