Govt Decides Giving Permission To Opposition To Hold Protest Outside ECP

Islamabad: Federal government had decided to give permission to the opposition parties for holding protest outside the election commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Prime Minister Imran Khan as routine on Tuesday presided a federal cabinet meeting.

Interior Minister Shikeh Rasheed briefed the cabinet over the Mach incident and talks with protesting Hazara community after brutal killings of 11 coal miners.

Shiekh Rasheed apprised that the government is accepting seven out of eight demands of protestors of Hazara community while resignations from Balochistan government not belonged to us.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that bereaved families of the Mach incident will not be left alone while perpetrators involved in the incident will be apprehended and exemplary punishment will be given adding that all the resources are being used to provide justice to the Mach affectees.

While Prime Minister Special Assistant on law Baber Awan raised matter of killing of Osma Satti in the hands of Islamabad Police during the cabinet meeting. The SAPM presented deceased Osama Satti parents point of view.

The cabinet expressed grief over sad incidents of Mach and Osama Satti killing.

Commenting on Osma Satti killing, the PM said that those merciless personnel of police force involved in the killing of a youth should not be in the police.

The federal cabinet also after thorough consultation decided to give the opposition parties permission to hold protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Sources said that alliance of the opposition parties Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will hold protest outside the ECP on January 19.

The premier also directed not to erect any hurdle in the way of the protestors.
