PCB Announces 17-member Squad For First Test Against Proteas


Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced 17-member squad for first test against South Africa.

The squad included Azhar Ali, Imran Butt, Baber Azam, Abid Ali, Fawad Alam, Saud Shakeel, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Yasir Shah, Haris Raauf, Hassan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Tabish Khan.

It is pertinent to mention here that a few days ago Chief Selector Muhammad Waseem had announced 20-member squad.

While three of players of 20-member will take part in practice session but will not be part of the team.

Shan Masood, Naseem Shah, Muhammad Abbass, Zafar Gauhar and Harris Sohail have been dropped over dismal performance against New Zea Land.

The national team squad has reached Karachi for the first test against South Africa. The match will be played at National Stadium Karachi on January 26.
