Karachi: Partial lockdown has been imposed in all across Sindh while the government has announced closure of the government offices and all educational institutions.

Addressing a presser after provincial coronavirus task force meeting, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the situation is much better in Sindh as compare to other cities of the country but the virus graph has increased three to four times in past few days.

The CM also announced to send formal request to call army for civil administration while he also announced to close inter-city transport within three days.

Murad Ali Shah ordering strict implementation on the coronavirus SOPs said that shopping centers will not be allowed to open after 6 pm while he warned to private offices of to be sealed who call more than 50 percent staff for work.

He said that indoor and outdoor dine-in will be banned in all the restaurants while only take-away will be oppened adding that no one will be allowed to enter shops without wearing masks.

The CM said that all the buisnesses will be allowed who will strictly follow the SOPs while goods transports and industries will remain open. He said that after Eid Ul Fitr he will request the federal government to close trains and international flight service.

Murad Ali Shah said that they tried to purchase vaccines from China, however, they prefer dealing with the Federal government rather than provinces.

Speaking regarding oxygen capacity in the province, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that there are three oxygen generation plants at the provincial hospitals. “Oxygen generation plants are installed at Trauma Centre, Gambat hospital and DOW Ojha campus,” he said.
