LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 58 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,204,520. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 26,720 on Sunday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,153 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 12,211 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,133 in Sindh 5,250 in KP, 887 in Islamabad, 718 in Azad Kashmir, 342 in Balochistan, and 179 in GB.
Furthermore 444,464 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 413,182 in Punjab 168,258 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102,617 in Islamabad, 33,268 in Azad Kashmir, 32,569 in Balochistan and 10,162 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 18,468,570 coronavirus tests and 57,792 in the last 24 hours. 1,086,785 patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,370 patients are in critical condition.
