ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said Pakistan wants to further strengthen bilateral relations in all fields with the United Kingdom.
He was talking to Lord Wajid Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.
The President also highlighted Pakistan’s successes against the war on terror during the last twenty years.
Exchanging views over the situation in Afghanistan, President Arif Alvi said that Pakistan has extended humanitarian support to Afghanistan and facilitated the evacuation of over twelve thousand Afghan and foreign nationals.
He said Pakistan is hosting three million Afghan refugees for the last four decades, besides, contributing to the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan.
The President appreciated Lord Wajid’s efforts for raising concerns about human rights violations of the people of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the international community to take notice of the reign of terror being unleashed by the Indian occupation forces against the innocent people of IIOJ&K and hold India accountable for its abhorrent conduct.
