Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed sorrow over loss of precious lives in the Lahore blast while the premier also called report of the blast from the government of Punjab.
The PM has directed immediate medical aid to the injured people of the attack.
It is pertinent to mention here that the blast at the Pan Mandi area of the Purani Ansar Kali in Lhaore, killed as many as three people and injuring 26 others. The police have expressed doubt that the blast was carried out from the IED which was fixed in a motor cycle.
The injured and dead have been shifted to the Meo Hospital Lahore. An emergency has been impsed in the hospital. According to eye witnesses the blast was so intense it smashed glasses of the near-by buildings.
As per the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Umar Chattha three people died from the blast while 26 are injured adding that six motorcyles destroyed while vehicles were also damaged and surrounding buildings also affected from the blast.
Rescue teams have reached the blast side while more people are stated to be in critical condition. Security forces have cordoned of the area.
