If Financial Powers Not Given To Local Bodies Than 18th Amendment Will Roll Back: Kamal

Karachi: Chairman Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the Sindh government is hearing our point of view on local bodies act adding that the provincial government must have to give financial powers to the local governments.

Addressing to masses on fifth day of his party sit-in at Fawara Cholk near Zainab Market, Syed Mustafa Kamal said that if the financial powers not given to the local governments than the 18th amendment will roll back.

The PSP chief said that we have not staged the protest to get a protocol instead we have to get solved problems of the common man of the city.

He said that everyone celebrated but reality is that the local government ordinance of 2021 is still imposed in the province.

Three days have past since the verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, he said.

Former mayor of the city said that if the SC were given this verdict three months ago than its follow up would have been completed easily.

He said that what is the provincial finance commission, we have apprised to all adding that from the federal finance commission the CM receives Rs 1200 billion annually.

The PSP chief said that our demands are not only being heard but demands are being accepted as well.
