Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday (today) gave a last chance to former chief judge of Gilgit and Baltistan Rana Shamim to submit his affidavit till April 4.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC, Athar Minallah heard the petition. At start of the hearing CJ Athar Minallah asked Rana Shamim did he submit his affidavit?
To which, Rana Shamim insisting the court to provide him three weeks more time and said that he gave the affidavit to his counsel after its review he will hand over to the court.
The CJ remarked that you have been a law officer and you should not adopt this behaviour adding that you also did’nt send any notice to Ansar Abbassi over leakage of your affadavit.
To which, Rana Shamim said that his counsel has stopped it doing so while he will send notice to the newspaper after it was not found how did his affidavit leak?

Attorney General gave arguments that you can file an intra court appeal then why you can’t submit the affidavit.
The court giving him (Rana Shamim) last chance to submit his affidavit and adjourned the hearing till April 4.
