Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday ordered to de-seal Monal Restaurant constructed on the Margala hills of Islamabad while the top court also suspended without endorsed brief order of Islamabad High Court (IHC) .
A three-member bench of the SC, headed by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, announced the verdict while hearing a petition against the sealing of Monal Restaurant on the orders of the Islamabad High Court.
The SC said that the Monal restaurant was sealed by the magistrate without serving any notice adding that other restaurants existing at the place were served notices before sealing.
Wild Life and Management Board sealed the restaurant without a certified copy of the IHC.
The top court gave verdict that they don’t know the legal perspective of the IHC decision.
It is pertinent to mention here that. three weeks ago, the SC had rejected suspending the IHC verdict of sealing the Monal restaurant.
Two weeks ago, the IHC had ordered to seal the Monal restaurant after which administration had sealed the restaurant.
