Many Hours Of Unannounced Load shedding Continued In Various Cities

Lahore: Shortage of fuel and technical faults in power plants resulted into electricity short fall of 5000 MW.

Owing to the electricity short fall load shedding of up to eights hours are continued in various areas of the country.

Sources said that an increase in demand and supply gap also witnessed due to which the worst load shedding is continued in the different areas of Lahore while an increase in demand of LESCO surpassed 3900MW after raise in intensity of summer.

The National Power Construction Corporation (NPCC) is providing the LESCO 2800 MW electricity while the LESCO shortfall has reached upto 1100 MW. As the shortfall increased the series of the worst loadshedding has been started in the LESCO region.

After each one hour, forced loadshedding is being conducted in the various areas of the city.

The LESCO didn’t issue any loadshedding schedule for rural and suburban areas of the city. Loadshedding for hours is being continued in the rural and suburban areas of the city.

The demand of electricity in the country skyrocketed to 19000 MW
