Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday rejected former chief justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed name suggested by the government while he has written letter to President in this regard.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the NA whether it remain or dissolve, the case is in the top court due to this he don’t have power to initiate the process.
The PML-N president in his letter to the President, confirmed that he has received two letters from him regarding caretaker premier.
He said that the court has taken suo motu notice over the speaker ruling. He said that at this stage, an appointment of a caretaker premier is unconstitutional and not applicable.
He said that every step of President and Premier will be linked to verdict of the Supreme Court.
