Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday disposed of a petition regarding seeking to stop releasing diplomatic passport of PML-N lifetime superemo Nawaz Sharif and his arrest on arrival in the country.
The Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah asked the petitioner when did the federal government order it, to which you are effected by it, adding that the court can’t rule its verdict in the air.
The CJ remarked that there are judicial verdict exists that absconder have to surrender adding that if someone is proclaimed offender then action will be taken as per the law.
The counsel of the petitioner said that if passport issued to proclaimed offender then it is question of the respect of the court.
The CJ remarked that this court respect are its verdict. The court after hearing the arguments of the petitioner disposed of the petition seeking stopping issuance of passport and arrest on arrival of Nawaz Sharif as nonmaintainable.
The court also fined the petitioner by Rs 5000.
