Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday took notice of a gang rape of a woman in a running Bahauddin Zakriya train.
The PM condemning the heinous and regretful incident has called a report from the Railways officials.
The PM has ordered providing justice to victim woman along with perpetuators in the heinous crime will be given exemplary punishment.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Strategic Reforms Committee (PMSRC) has given suggestions for changing security procedures for the protection of the women.
As per (PMSRC) Lady Railway Police Force Teams will be deployed on the train stations. While an app “Safar Saheli” will be launched.
As per the suggestions, directions of Down Loading will be present on the published tickets while an emergency number will also be printed.
A lady inspector and two lady constables will be constituted for the stations.
The number of trains will be increased as per the numbers of passengers in the trains. A suggestion has also been given to install an emergency SOS button.
