Islamabad: A session court of Islamabad on Monday (today) extended the interim bails of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Shaikh Rashid and 38 others in the vandalism case during the long march of May 25.
A session court in Islamabad heard the case of vandalism during the PTI’s long march of May 25.
Judge questioned the prosecutor, has investigation in the case completed? Over which, prosecutor Wajid Muneer responded, the investigation has not completed yet.
The judge also asked how many people have still not investigated yet ? The prosecutor said that a lot of people not joined in the investigation.
The PTI counsel Baber Awan said that our many people went to the police stations and we received the respond that officer is not present in the police station.
To which, Judge said that we arrange discussion on bail petitions with respect to the police stations.
Baber Awan said that keep it as it is, we will not disappoint you while all the accused will be presented before the court.
Judge said that include all the accused and mark their attendance while the court directed the prosecutor to include all in the investigation.
Shireen Mazari insisted that she wants to say something and included in the investigation and today counsel will discuss.
Judge replied to Shireen Mazari that we have fix Tuesday and we will discuss that day while Shireen Mazari requested the court she be given exemption from attendance.
Judge said that only two counsel will present for discussion on the next hearing adding that the curt room is full of counsels instead of accused.
The court ordered that ShIreen Mazari, Zartaj Gull and Imran Ismael be submitted petition for an exemption from the attendance.
The court extended interim bail of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and Shaikh Rashid Rashid besides 38 others till June 20.
