KARACHI: The Sindh government has expressed outrage over the KE and asked why the people and their elected representatives should bear the burden of K Electric’s failures.
A meeting was held between the Sindh government and K-Electric on the issue of prolonged load shedding in Karachi, which was attended by Energy Minister Imtiaz Sheikh, Saeed Ghani, Waqar Mehdi and Javed Nagori.
On this occasion, the Sindh government took stern notice of the worst load shedding in Karachi and members of the National and Provincial Assemblies also expressed their displeasure over the performance of K-Electric.
Energy Minister Imtiaz Sheikh said that K-Electric should accept responsibility for prolonged and unannounced load shedding in the scorching heat.
