Islamabad: International Day of the Girl Child is being celebrated today.
In his message on the 10th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl Child, Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres said when girls are educated, they are more likely to lead healthy, productive and fulfilling lives.

He said when girls receive the right healthcare, they grow up with greater self-confidence and bodily autonomy.

This is deeply damaging to girls themselves & to a country that desperately needs their energy & contributions.
