Islamabad: It is likely that people will get a major relief in current month on petroleum products.
The relief will be providing owing to continuous decrease in the petroleum products in the international market.
According to the Petroleum division the petrol price will be reduced Rs 30 per liter.
The change in prices will be occurred on December 15 this month.
Earlier On November 30, Federal Minister Ishaq Dar apprised that prices of light diesel and kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs 7.30 and Rs 10 respectively.
The price of petrol in Pakistan will remain unchanged at Rs224.80 per liter for the next fortnight, December 1 to 15.
Dar said the price of high-speed diesel will also remain the same at Rs235.30 per litre.
The finance minister also announced the extension of the date for filing tax returns after which citizens can file taxes by December 15.
Dar said that he had discussed the summary sent by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as per practice.
After due deliberation on the matter, it was decided that prices of petrol and High Speed Diesel will be kept unchanged for the next fortnight.
The price of Kerosene Oil will be cut by Rs10 from Rs192.01 per liter currently to Rs182.01 for the next fortnight.
Similarly, price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has been cut by Rs7.5 from Rs186.5 per liter previously to Rs179.
