Karachi: Mutahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has rejected results of census collected so far while the they also demanded to conduct census again.
Addressing a presser in the party headquarter at Bahadurabad, Senior Deputy Convener of MQM-P along with other members of the party said that the party rejects the census conducted under the supervision of Sindh government and its employees.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that we are sending our complaints to the state institutions while he also hinted to quit the government.
The Senior deputy convener hurled accusation on the Sindh government that it is conducting rigging through its people responsible for counting of the peoples.
He said that there seems a plan to show the population of Karachi not more than 20 million adding that they (Sindh Government) have a fear if population of the city counted correctly then the next chief minister will be from the party winning from Karachi.
Farooq Sattar demanded that every individual be given access to census data through their mobile phones so that they could see their count by himself.
He said that our existence is being denied adding that we are being denied for counting and accepting Karachiites as Pakistani.
He said that now tell us how we can remain part of this government while he added that we have our red line which is now being seen crossed.
The MQM-P stalwart said “census is our redline” is trending continuously on the social media in the last five days.
He said that we are going to talk over injustices made with us in our meeting with Prime Minister and then we will decide to remain in the government or not.
