Islamabad: Mufti Saeed, the cleric who solemnised Imran Khan Nikah with Bushra bibi, on Wednesday apprised first Nikah of Imran Khan with Bushra bibi was against Sharia as later was in Iddat at that time.
The remark was made by the cleric while he was giving his statement during the proceedings of the case in a session court of Islamabad related to the alleged unIslamic Nikah of the former prime minister with Bushra Bibi.
Mufti Saeed in his statement said “Imran informed me that his Nikah solemnised in January 2018 with Bushra bibi was against Shariah as his wife was in Iddat (the time a woman goes into isolation after her husband dies or divorces her), despite knowing everything.
The cleric informed the court that he solemnised Imran Khan Nikah with Bushra Bibi again on instructions of Imran Khan after the PTI chief contacted him in February 2018.
The cleric informed that Bushra Bibi divorced in November 2017 and first nikah solemnised in January 2018.
He also apprised ” Imran had told me that he had prediction that he will become prime minister after marriage with Bushra Bibi.”
Mufti Saeed said that he had good relations with Imran Khan and he was member of Imran’s core committee of the party.
