Lahore/Peshawar: Interior ministry approving the Punjab government appeal for calling Pakistan army, has decided to deploy Pakistan army in the province.
Sources of interior ministry said that the Pakistan army will assist district administration for establishing peace in the province.
As per the interior ministry the services of 10 companies have been handed over to the Punjab government. The Pakistan army will work together with the district administration for establishing peace and assist it.
The interior ministry has issued a notification in this regard.
On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwah (KP) government has also called for deployment of Pakistan army in the province for establishing peace as enraged PTI protestors used to of burning and vandalizing of government assets in the province.
The KP government has called for deployment of Pakistan army under article 245 of the constitution while the KP government has sent the letter to the federal government seeking deployment of Pakistan army in the province.
The provincial government has decided the deployment of the army owing to tense situation in the province.
