Karachi: President Anjuman-e-Tajiran Karachi (ATK) Javed Shams has rejected the federal government decision closure of shops and markets at 8 pm at night.
The ATK President Javed Shams said that the business community was not taken into confidence while he said that in case provision of uninterrupted electricity to Karachi business centers than the Karachi business and shops be closed at 9 pm at night.
Before giving examples from the world regarding its decision, see facilities given to business community and people there, Javed Shams said.
He said that with the decision millions of people doing part time jobs are feared jobless adding that the business community play a vital role in the country’s economy.
He said that for getting tax the business community be taken on board adding that the consequences for forcefully closing the businesses and shop would not be good.
Earlier today, National Economic Council (NEC) meeting has decided to close shops all across the country at 8 pm.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has presided the NEC meeting today wherein it was decided that the shops and markets be closed countrywide at 8 pm night sharp.
The federal government in its breifing to the NEC over energy saving projects apprised that the the energy saving project has been formed to save annually Rs 1000 billion.
On other hand, the federal government has demanded the province to implement the energy saving project.
