Karachi: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid homage in splendid words to shaheed leader of the party Munawwar Suharwardy.
In his statement, the PPP chairperson on 19th death anniversary of slain leader, said that Munawwar Suharwardy Shaheed was a brave and steadfast leader and asset of the party.
The chairperson said that shaheed Munawar Suharwardi struggle for democracy and sacrifices will be remembered always.
He appealed to all the party workers to pray for their partyman’s departed soul of the shaheed leader.
Munawwar Suharwardy, Sindh PPP information secretary and a close confidant of Ms Benazir Bhutto, was shot dead in a targeted killing on this day back in June 2004 near the busy Guru Mandir intersection
Father of three, Mr Suharwardy had played an active role in his party’s activities from Karachi.
