Battgram: The rescue operation to save lives of remaining four persons which included two children has been suspended through helicopter but it is successfuly continued through land owing to darkness of the night and tough weather conditions.
The Pakistan Army’s SSG commandoes have rescued four children through helicopter so far and the children are safely landed to ground.
The operation has been started from the ground and alternative ways operations is continued.
They also said that another cable car — smaller in size — has been hung on the same cable to retrieve the remaining five students and a teacher. One by one every body will be rescued.
The helicopter operation can be very risky in the darkness of the night and dangerous. The decision has been taken to continue the rescue operation through land and alternative means so that operation can be continued all around the night.
This is a highly a risky operation in which Pakistan contingents are taking part without caring for their lives.
General Officer Commanding (GOC), Special Services Group (SSG) are leading the army rescue operation.
The children were going to their school through the chairlift at 7 am morning after breaking of two of three cables of the chairlift, it was hanged at the height of 600 fit.
