Kamal, Anis call on PM to discuss soaring electricity prices, issues of karachi

ISLAMABAD:Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders Mustafa Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani called on Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Monday

The MQM-P duo discussed matters relating to mutual interests with the PM.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed the problems of Karachi especially soaring prices of electricity.

They apprised the PM Kakar that it is exploitation with karaciites to charge in electricity prices extra Rs 3 per unit as compare to other parts of the country.

The MQM- P leaders thanked the PM for taking steps to resolve those issues, a press release issued by the PM Office Media Wing said.

On the other hand, the MQM–P spokesperson said that deputy convener Syed Mustafa Kamal urges the PM there is need of immediate measures for improvement of Karachi residential and industrial infrastructure.

The deputy convener emphasized on the PM that the caretaker federal government be taken direct interest in resolving the problems of the Karachi.

Mustafa Kamal said that the MQM -P standing with the PM shoulder to shoulder for his positives initiatives to steer out the country from crisis and moving the country on the path of the development.

The Caretaker PM Anwar Ul Haq Kakar praising the suggestions of Mustafa Kamal ensured that measures will be taken at the federal level to resolve the problems of Karachi, the MQM spokesperson added.

The PM recognizing role of Karachi in the development of the country supported the suggestion to give opportunities and facilities to the youth, the party spokesman added further.
