Hyderabad: Pakistan have set handsome target of 287 runs all out in 49th over to Netherland in its first match of the ICC men’s World Cup 2023 sojourn here in Rajiv Gandhi International cricket stadium on Friday (today).
Pakistan have lost six wickets at the score of 188 runs as Saud Shakeel caught by Saqib Zulfiqar while Bas de Leede took back to back wickets of Rizwan and Iftakhar.
While Saud-Rizwan 120 runs brilliant partnership brought stability in Pakistan innings after losing early three wickets. How much interesting that both scored 68 runs each.
Saud Shakeel scored 68 runs in 52 balls with disastrous strike rate of 130.76. While Rizwan made 68 runs on 75 balls with strike rate of 90.

In form Iftakhar Ahmed remained unfortunate today as he lost his wickets on 9 runs playing 11 balls. Muhammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan added valuable runs of 39 and 32 runs respectively.
Harris Rauf unfortunately stumped after scoring 16 runs while Shaheen Shah Afridi remained not at 11 runs.
Pakistan have disappointed start in World Cup 2023 journey against a weak team of Netherland as its three opening batters sent to pavilion only on 38 runs in the 10th over.
The batters include Fakhar Zaman, skipper Baber Azam and Imam Ul Haq after 12 runs, 5 and 15 respectively.
From Netherland side Bas de Leede was outstanding today as he took 4 wickets while Colin Ackermann took two wickets
Besides Logan van Beek,, Paul van Meekeren and Aryan Dutt have taken one wicket each.
Earlier Netherland won the toss and elected to field first.
