New Delhi: India have got an easy victory of eight wickets against Afghanistan in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 here at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Earlier Afghanistan had won the toss and elected to bat first while India chased the target of 273 runs in 35th over of the match sparing 15 overs.
Indian skipper Rohat Sharma scored a brilliant century.It is Rohat Sharma’s 7th century in World Cup history.
Rohat Sharma made the ton on 65 balls with 12 fours and four sixes. while he lost his wicket after scoring 131 runs.
On the other hand, his partner Ishan Kishan made a fabulous score of 47 runs off 47 balls with five fours and two sixes.

They made a tremendous 156 runs partnership chasing the Afghanistan target of 273.
In the end Virat Kohli smashed a half century on 56 balls with eight fours.
Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai scored a splendid partnership helping it give handsome target of 273 off 8 to India here.

On the other hand Azmatullah Omarzai made an excellent 62 runs playing 69 balls smashing two fours and four sixes.
