Chances of getting big relief in petroleum prices not likely for next fortnightly

Islamabad: Expectation of a big relief getting from petroleum products has diminished for next fortnightly.

It is likely that petroleum products will be reduced minutely or will be retained.

Sources said that neither there is no big uptick happened nor any change occurred owing to exchange rate.

According to documents, the average rate of petroleum products has been remained 90.88 per dollar.Whereas the value of Pakistani rupee from October 16 decreased instead of stable.

As per the exchange rate the value of dollar was Rs 276.75 on October 16 while on October 30 the value of rupee traded at more then Rs 281.

According to the internatioanl marke and exchange rate there is no major relief happens.

However Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send its working on petroleum prices to the government on October 31. Caretaker premier will take the final decision regarding the petroleum prices.

On the other hand, It is likely that OMC and dealers margin on petrol and diesel will be increased.

It is suggested increasing 88 paisa per litre on petrol and diesel margin, in margin of oil companies 47 pasias per litre and an uptick of 41 paisas on petrol and diesel margin for dealers.

If the margins were increased then the effects of lowering in the prices will be less.
