ISLAMABAD: Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPA) has filed petition in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to raise electricity prices by 55 paisas under the fuel adjustment charges whereas in case of approval the consumers will get an additional burden of Rs 8.37 billions.
The NEPRA will conduct hearing on the CPA petition tomorrow (Wednesday).
The CPA in its petition apprised that as many as Rs 12.902 billions units were sold.
The electricity production from hydral means remained 37.55,in the month of September, the CPA informed.
From the Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) electricity production was 15.95 percent in the month of September.
The electricity produced with furnace oil by 1.80 percent during the month of September.
