Islamabad: According to Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR), the aim of the visit to enhance military and defense cooperation between the two brotherly countries. The Army Chief appreciated the operational readiness and morale of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan
During the visit, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir met the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Minister of Defense, First Deputy Minister, Chief of General Staff and Commander of Azerbaijan Air Force. According to ISPR, the Army Chief Appreciated the operational readiness and morale of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. The political and military leadership of Azerbaijan appreciated Pakistan’s continuous support to Azerbaijan and the determination to raise the mutual cooperation between the two states and their armed forces to a new level. The ISPR said that during his visit to the General Staff Headquarters, the Army Chief was given a warm welcome and was presented with a guard of honour. The Chief of Army Staff also laid flowers at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Baku.
