Islamabad: An accountability court (AC) of Islamabad approved a petition of Nawaz Sharif for recording his statment in his defence in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) toshakhana vehicles reference.
The AC court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the NAB reference of the toshakhna vehicles against Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and others.
Defense counsel Qazi Misbah adopted a view that one defense statement not recorded and insisted the court that it order the NAB to record Nawaz Sharif statement.
He apprised that the reference was filed in the absence of his client and we have to file a supplementary reference, we wanted “The NAB records Nawaz Sharif point of view in the case.”
He said that provide us questionaire and we will reply back on it.
The court said that there is no issue in it, “call Nawaz Sharif and record his statement.
The NAB prosecutor said that the investigation officer record his statement and we have no objection in it.
The court approving Nawaz Sharif petition to record his statement and instructed that Nawaz Sharif statement be recorded till November 30.
Later, the court prorogued the case hearing till November 30.
