Karachi: An open manhole in Karachi took the life of another innocent, a two-year-old girl died after falling into a sewer in Memongoth
Two years old girl died after falling into an open drain in Karachi, two-year-old daughter Muskan of Wazir Ali Memon, a resident of Haji Umaid Ali Mahalla in Memon Goth, fell into an open drain, and was pulled out from the manhole after a search.
The girl was shifted to the hospital in an unconscious state, where she succumbed to her injuries, from where her relatives took the body home.
Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab described the incident as sad. He said, “Who is stealing the sewer covers? There are three hundred thousand manholes in Karachi. We cannot take care of all the manholes.”Residents of the area said that whole sewer in the area has no cover, the citizens have demanded to cover all the open manholes in the area
