Islamabad: The caretaker government has decided to bring amendment in a tax policy to increase Tax to GDP ratio to 15 percent,sources said.
The sources said that a list of the people who are out of the tax net will be prepared and it will be shared with the IMF.
A compliance improvement plan will be prepared till March 2024, the sources added.
The plan will be prepared with joining with the IMF adding that a risk registered report and dash board have been prepared, sources furthered.
A risk registered will be prepared which will be based on tax payer information, sources said.
Sources said that the tax payer information will be taken from banks, National Date Base Registration Authority (NADRA) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) (FBR).
The compliance risk management will be made part of the tax policy, sources added.
Sources said that the IMF and FBR will be worked jointly.
