Lahore: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has decided to quit the PML-N. He will formally announce his resignation in a press conference in a few days.
According to the details, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has decided to leave the PML-N, Sources said that the official announcement of leaving the PML-N will be made in a press conference in a few days.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has conveyed that he will not be a participant in the forthcoming general elections, deeming them as ‘pointless.’ However, he hinted at the possibility of joining a new political party after the general elections.
During this period of political transition, he has expressed his intention to support a PML-N candidate in the February 8 elections if the party offers an opportunity to a common worker.
This development comes after Shahid Khaqan Abbasi resigned from his position as the PML-N Senior Vice President. Notably, he abstained from attending crucial party meetings related to the allocation of election tickets and also skipped Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming rally in October.
