Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan has issued a guidelines regarding the submission of nomination paper to the candidate of the federal and provincial assembly, to become a member of Parliament a candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan.
According to the Election Commission, the fee for the candidate of the National Assembly is 30,000 rupees and the fee for the candidate of the Provincial Assembly is 20,000 rupees, the fee is non-refundable. Candidates can submit the nomination papers along with the attested copy of the identity card of the proposed and endorsed candidate.
The candidate must attach the income tax return of the last three years with the nomination papers. According to the Election Commission, the candidate can deposit the fee in cash or in any branch of the bank and National Bank. The Election Commission further said that to become a Member of Parliament, the candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan, the candidate must be twenty-five years old by the last date of submission of nomination papers.
