MELBOURNE: Pakistan continued their losing streak in Tests against Australia, on the latter’s home ground, after losing by 79 runs on Friday in Melbourne.
Pakistan were bundled out for 237 chasing a difficult target of 317 runs on the fourth day of the Test on Friday after Australia were bowled out for 262 before lunch.
After the openers were cheaply routed, Babar Azam (41) and Shan Masood (60) steadied the ship to give hope for their first win since 1995, but all hopes were dashed soon after.
The other two batters who left a mark were Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman who were dismissed for 35 and 50, respectively.
The last three wickets fell without adding any runs to the total.
