Islamabad: It has been decided to settle a renew agreement between the federal government and K-electric today.
The Ministry of Law has approved the draft of the agreement with K-electric.
Sources said that the draft of the tarrif differential subsidy agreememnt with the K-electric was approved last month and Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet had directed to hold consultations with the ministry of law on the draft of the agreement.
Sources of ministry of energy said that the agreement between the government of Pakistan and K-electric was tamporary for many years whereas this agreement was tamporary after cancelling of this agreement in 2016.
The energy ministry sources said that with this agreement the Chinese company Shanghai electric intrest in investment will increase and the agreement will also help decreasing circular debt of the energy sector.
