Maldives Ultimatum to the Indian Army to leave the Country.

WEB DESK: The president of Maldives Muhammad Muizu gave an Ultimatum to the Indian Army to leave the country.

According to the foreign news agency, Maldives has said that India should withdraw the Indian soldiers from the territory of Maldives by March 15.

The secretary of the President of Maldives has said that under the policy of President Muhammad Moeizu, Indian soldiers cannot stay in the Maldives.

It should be noted that the relations between India and Maldives have been strained since the formation of the government of the new President Muhammad Muizu in Maldives.

3 months ago, the elected president of Maldives, Mohammad Mueezu, raised the slogan ‘India out’ in the election and demanded the withdrawal of Indian army from Maldives.

After being elected president, Mohammed Mueezu chose Turkey and China instead of India for his first visit and formally requested India to recall Indian military personnel from his country.

Muhammad Muizu said that his government reiterates its commitment to withdraw the Indian army from the strategically important region of the country.

According to the report, around 100 Indian troops have been stationed in the Maldives since 1988, for non-combat duties including flying, training and surveillance
