Islamabad:Results of general elections held for the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies continue to pour in from across the country.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has so far received 122 results of the National Assembly seats.
Out of these unofficial provisional results, Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarians won 30 and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz 39, while Balochistan National Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and Pakistan Muslim League secured one seat each. Besides, 49 independents also emerged victorious.
The received results for the Punjab Assembly show that PML-N has won 52 seats, independents 54 and Pakistan Muslim League two seats.
The commission has so far got result of 87 constituencies of the Sindh Assembly. Out of which PPPP won 72, independents six, MQM-Pakistan six, Grand Democratic Alliance two, and Jamaat-e-Islami one seat of the Sindh Assembly.
The result of 64 constituencies of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been received. Out of these seats, independent candidates stood victorious on 56, while PML-N got four, JUI-P two and PPPP as well as Jamaat-e-Islami one seat each.
So far result of 14 Balochistan Assembly seats has been received. PPPP won five, while PML-N and JUI-Pakistan won three seats each. Besides, Balochistan National Party-Awami and Jamaat-e-Islami secured one seat each. One independent candidate remained victorious in the election for Balochistan Assembly seats.
As per the received results, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif as well as his son Hamza Shehbaz Sharif have all won their respective seats. Besides, PML leader Chaudhry Salik Hussain, PPPP leader Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani, BNP leader Akhtar Mengal and former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar also emerged victorious. Moreover, PPP stalwart Khursheed Ahmed Shah has secured his slot in the National Assembly for 8th consecutive time.
