Islamabad: Former chief justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has refused to head commission for investigation into the allegations hurled by six judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in his letter to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Former CJ Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has written the letter to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in which he expressed his refusal to chair the commission for probing allegations of the six judges of the IHC.
Justice (retd) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani expressed gratitude to the PM and cabinet over confidence on him. He also thanked Chief Justice Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah as well.
It is pertinent to mention here that last week Prime Minister along with Attorney general Usman Mansoor Awan and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar called on Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa while Justice Mansoor Ali Shah was also present on the occasion to discuss matter of the letter penned by six judges of the IHC.
The PM had principally decided to form a commission to probe allegations of the six judges.
