KARAHCI: The 2nd death anniversary of The symbol of humanity and service great lady Bilquis Edhi being observed today.
Glowing tributes are being paid to Bilquis Bano Edhi , the symbol of humanity and service on her second death anniversary , following the footsteps of her husband Abdul Sattar Edhi she had also dedicated her life to humanity.
Bilquis Bano Edhi has adopted more than hundred orphan children and become their mother. Pakistani government had conferred her with the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for her social services. She was also the recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay award for her services to humanity.
The Indian government had awarded her Mother Teresa Award for looking after the Indian girl Geeta.
