Karachi: Sindh Revenue Department on Thursday sealed premises of Sajjad Restaurant situated at Do Darya Se view and M\S Dawat, event management company having its office at Khyban-e-Bukhari Phase 6, DHA Karachi owing to continues non-compliance of the provisions of Sindh sales tax on Services act 2011 and the rules made thereunder.
These entities were found to have under-declared their sales resulting into tax evasion of amounts of Sindh sales tax (SST) besides having failed to file the prescribed tax returns.
Despite several advices and notices issued by SRB the said entities failed to comply.
Moreover, M\S Sajjad Restaurant had also failed to get its point of sales (POS) intergerated with SRB POS invoicing system in accordance with the prescribed rules despite several notices and orders issued by SRB in this regard.
The SRB remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring tax complaince across all sectors including restaurants, cafes, caterers and event managers/organizers.
Similar measures will continue be to be taken by SRB with a view to ensuring that there is no loss of public revenue because of non-complaint attitude and any act of evasion of tax by any service provider in Sindh.
