ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Shehbaz Shareef has met the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and discussed the country’s overall political situation.
The governor Faisal Karim Kundi admired the Prime Minister for his government’s pro-business and investment policies which would lead to an enhanced investment in the country.
Faisal Karim Kundi has said while talking to the media that he discussed with the premier the issue of load shedding of electricity and gas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The governor also said that he made a recommendation for sparing funds for Chashma Right Bank Canal project, that the problems could not be solved merely through turning the switch on and off.
He advised the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Ameen Gandpur that negotiations, not arguments, were the way forward. “Nothing can be gained by fighting problems can be solved only if we work together.” he said.
Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party has said that CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa heeded to advice and met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, he asked the Chief Minister to focus on the law and order situation in the province.
He said that he had no difference with anyone and he was ready to sit with the leader of any political party, noting that the governor’s was a constitutional position, he also snubbed those talking about the imposition of a possible governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
