Punjab govt bans throwing of sacrificial animals remains in cannal, drainage system

Lahore: The Punjab government on Sunday banned throwing of sacrificial animals remains in cannal and drainage system while section 144 also imposed on roasting of the head and hooves of sacrificial animals.

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz chaired a high level meeting to review arrangements on Eid Ul Al Azha and security matters on the occasion.

The CM issued orders for imposing ban on the illegal business of roasting of the head and hooves of the sacrificial animals.

Maryam Nawaz also ordered to make control room more functional at provincial, divisional, district and at tehsil level.

The respective authorities apprised the CM that the staff will go door to door in Lahore carrying bio degradable bag to lift sacrificial animals remains.

After the sacrifice the city roads will be washed and percolate to be poured and spray will be conducted.

The CM was apprised that as many as 294 sell points of sacrificial animals have been set up.

Moreover, drainage and main-hole will be protected from throwing of sacrificial animals remains.

The CM directed that to install fans at Eid prayer places to avoid scorching heat.

She also ordered that regular checking of brandishing be made and ensured protection standard.

She also directed that the security be beefed up where needs necessary adding saving of life and property of masses be made ensured at all cost.

The CM warned that no one be allowed to taking law into their hands.

She also instructed that prohibition on illegal use of loud speaker and display of arms be ensured.
