LAHORE: The Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz in line with her vision of a “Digital Punjab” directed free Wi-Fi services have now been launched at an additional 100 points across Lahore.
The People of Punjab will now enjoy the free Wi-Fi service in more areas of Lahore, as the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said that free Wi-Fi” services have now been launched at an additional 100 points across Lahore, bringing the total to 200 locations.
The Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) has expanded this initiative, enabling broader access to free internet across the city.
The newly added locations include key areas such as Manga Mandi, Multan Road, Bund Road, and Chuhng. Other areas like Shahpur Kanjran, Sundar, Valencia, and Maraka village have also been incorporated into the service range.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of this service under the “Digital Punjab” vision, stating, “The emergency free Wi-Fi service is being provided to enhance digital connectivity and safety across the province.”
The Digital Punjab Service not only offers internet access but also supports public safety measures , Users can connect with the police and other emergency services through the network, moreover Application such as the Women Safety App, Punjab Police App and WhatsApp are accessible via the free Wi-Fi service, enhancing communication and security for residents
