Karachi: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Munam Zafar Khan criticizing the federal government, said that the cruel budget has ground the salaried class people while no taxes were imposed on feudal lords of Sindh and Punjab.
Addressing a presser with other leaders of the JI Karachi at its city headquarter Idara Nor-e-Haq, Ameer JI Munam Zafar Khan said that the government has put all the burden of taxes on the people of the country.
The JI ameer said that only three percent increased in the budget for Karachi while the city got nothing adding that people are still deprived.
On the other hand, electricity and gas bills, which are getting rise again and again, fell on the people like a bomb, Munam Zafar Khan said.
The JI ameer said that no tax was imposed on the agriculture field.
He said that the federal and provincial government budget have presented while after the budget the Sindh government has increased its cabinet by appointing many several sepcial assistants.
He said that exchange of harsh statements on each other leadership between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) and the Pakistan People’s Party also have started.
He alleged that both the parties play on both the sides of the wickets.
In his presser, the JI ameer touched several issues which included raise in petrol prices, ever increasing inflation, the JI on going protest and the JI central level sit-in at Islamabad on July 12.
